After spending over 34 years supplying the professional beauty industry with products; we learned first hand the difficulties that distributors like us faced on a daily basis. However, one challenge stood out far beyond the regular obstacles of day-to-day business. The challenge that threatened the integrity of our business and many would argue the industry as a whole, was to find quality products to wholesale to resellers namely professional salons and spas.
We were approached each day with new product lines and to be fair some products were fantastic and lived up to their claims and as distributors we made our living on these quality lines; however, if we sold inferior products we risked our credibility and we could potentially ruin our business over the long run. Unfortunately, the market place is flooded with poor quality products and distributors like us had a real challenge of sifting through the hundreds of thousands of products to find the “diamond-in-the-ruff”.
So we thought, “why not form a company whose sole purpose is to find and market quality products to distributors”. To help companies like us find quality products before spending thousands and thousands on opening orders only to find the products get old, stale and barely sell. Let’s face it, there are hundreds of thousands of products out there with dubious claims but how do you find the ones that will last? Well, there is only one real way and that is to put it into the hands of the consumer and let them see it, touch it, feel it and use it. And once this product passes the test of the consumer we can feel confident that it will continue to provide revenues. How many times as a distributor have you been duped by a manufacturer promising that their product is very popular and in demand only to find that it has absolutely no revenues and has absolutely no market interest? So, you get excited, place a large opening order, invest into marketing the product and literally watch your inventory dry out over months if not years of inactive sales despite your efforts.
We had enough of being duped and manipulated so the sole purpose of Empire of Beauty is to take the products that successfully sell at our distribution facilities and bring them to one place whereby you as a distributor can research the product and exclusively supply it into your market place and most importantly you can feel confident that you have a successful product with a proven history in the market place.
